What is Coaching?
Coaching cannot be easily defined but here are some ways in which coaching can help. Coaching is client led conversations where the coach asks particular questions to draw out deeper insights and understanding.
- Support clients to identify past and future limiting self-talk and not react to them by becoming present.
- Overcome limiting thoughts by using the breath, presence, visualizations, connecting with the outer world observations and using scientifically proven theory and coping tools.
- Encourage exploration for self-actualization for clients to find their own solutions to their challenges or goals.
- Help to provide clarity to strengths, beliefs and values so clients can find out what is driving them and how these could appear and affect situations and certain behaviours.
- Help to diminish old thought patterns and beliefs and behaviors that are not in the best interest of the client. Letting go.
- Help to reinforce boundaries where boundaries need to be enforced.
- Help client to be heard and have a voice and is able to shape their life without interference by others.
- Support wellbeing and offering coping methods to help with anxiety, stress, and depression
- Highlighting clients owns strengths and past experiences to build their own resilience to overcome change ie loss of job, relationship, bereavement
- Help to improve relationships
- To help clients stay on track with actions plans and goals
